Startled? I am. In my makehope post last January (352 days ago) I reflected on the fact that 30,000 kids die each day in the world --most needlessly. (Curious did using the words kids versus children make a difference? It did to me -- children is more abstract to me -- kids makes me think of Ryan and Emily, mine.) Put another way that's 704,000 youth league soccer teams each year or 625 kids while we wait in line at Starbucks, gone.
Sorry to start the year on a downer but I am pretty sure nothing about this has changed much
Last year I wrote in part... So what am I, you, we doing about this? What did we do yesterday, today, tomorrow? Last year, this year?
